Wolfgang Stille is a mathematician and computer scientist. He studied at the universities of Heidelberg, Mannheim, and Newcastle (AUS) and holds a PhD in Computer Science. He has been involved for many years with digitalization of research and open science and played a leading role in initiating the process for establishing a digital research data culture at TU Darmstadt. Since 2021, as CTO of the newly founded Hessian Centre for Artificial Intelligence, he is responsible for AI supercomputing infrastructure and the according services. Besides the hessian.AI Lab, he manages the third-party funded projects AI innovation lab and AI service centre. The goal of these projects is to build a high-end AI ecosystem and transfer cutting-edge AI research into economy and society.
